Aishwarya has taken ill and is down with chest infection and flu like symptoms. Had a high fever yesterday but is settling down today. Kasab's confession in court

Kasab's sensational confession has created quite a flutter in the media and now has even put the court in a jiffy to decide what to do next. I don't know much about law, but when someone has confessed to his crime that was witnessed by thousands of people and that resulted in the killing of hundreds of innocent people, I think he should be immediately given the capital punishment. But, as I perceive, law takes its own course and the way its going, this might even take days before we actually hear about some verdict. The only ones to be benefited by this court drama are the two lawyers who have already earned a lot of fame and will definitely earn a lot of moolah the longer the case goes...don't really understand this legal system where an accused witnessed by thousand of people, caught red-handed on CCTV, and even confessing to his crime are still not good enough reasons to give the court verdict.

You know, after seeing all those exciting promos before the launch I was really excited to see the show and was hoping to find some cool jungle adventure a la Discovery or Nat Geo style, but what a crap...It is just like they have set up a set in some garden (they claim it to be in Malaysia) and have put in some so-called celebrities (I wonder if anybody knows Ishq Bector or Palak or Mona Vasu) in their to survive on their own. The show is an Indianized version of popular British Reality show "I'm a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here!" But, to me it is just like wrapping the Big Boss content in a new foil and present to the audience as something new. The participants have been trained to create controversies like Anaida and Shweta Tiwari made in their own ways shouting for salts and gown. They have to perform certain tasks in order to earn food to survive, so Chetan Hansraj picks up stars out of snakes, fish intestines, and all those insects that just gives you a throw-up feeling as it comes exactly at your dinnertime and I am sure if you keep watching the show and continue to eat, you will end up throwing up all the cool stuffs you have eaten. The show has started with its share of skin show where Mona Vasu and Shweta Tiwari are being shown to take shower in open in the bare minimum. I think, our culture police is watching that also and soon we might see some political issues coming up and so the show is all set to garner enough publicity and thus will surely soar the TRP soon, but in my opinion we are going to witness the worst reality show on TV as the coming days will prove my apprehension and soon the show will be named "In Junglio se Mujhe Bachao." Watch out for Sultry Shweta taking bath in open and Chetan Hansraj flaunting his body under the shower with Palak and Fiza enjoying seeing him take bath in undies.

How to look great and be safe on the beach?

Swimming is the most favorite pastime across the globe be them children, youth, adult, or senior citizen. Swimming in sea or just walking across a beautiful beach, I bet no one would ever complain if given an opportunity anytime. Walking across a beach is never a fun unless and until accompanied by a proper swimwear. Just imagine a blond bombshell walking across Miami Beach in a T-shirt and jeans. I guarantee no guy would ever look at her no matter how beautiful she is. In the civilized society, every occasion has a definite dress code associated with it. You know, office wear, formals, casuals, wedding dresses, ramp walking, party wear, discotheque, you name an occasion, and a certain dress code will strike your mind. Beachwear too comes with a certain dress codes. Bikinis, tankinis, swimming costumes, shorts, thongs, G-strings are certain dresses that come in the beachwear category. Is Media responsible for Team India's failure?

Indian media is highly thankful to Team India's shock exit from ICC T20 World Cup from Super 8 stage itself. In fact, media tried its best to unsettle the spirit and cohesion of Team India by stumping otherwise cool Mahi by asking some controversial questions regarding him and Sehwag's discord, and they succeeded to such a great extent that entire India media had this news item Dhoni Vs Sehwag running for a full day even before the beginning of World Cup. The smooth run of Team India was a debacle for Indian media as they were not able to get any masala to fit into their prime time and then came the Super 8 stage and India's loss to West Indies, and India media had the time of their life. Each channel started doing postmortem like never before as if India has lost a match first time in the history. Though India lost the 2 matches in Super 8, but one must consider the fact they were not easy wins for either West Indies or England. In fact, the margin of error was so marginal that the results could have easily swung into India's favore, but lady luck was not with Team India and so they lost. But, their loss came as a goldmine for media and then all sorts of debates on strategy, fatigue, IPL impact, captainship issues, premature decisions, and what not. There was enough masala for media to fill its prime time that even Prime Minister's important Russia tour was hardly given any due footage by the likes of Aajtak and Star News. Even now, when Indian time is out of the tourney, media is still able to involve the likes of Sabba Karim and Chetan Chauhan to dig out masala about Team India because in India nothing sells like Cricket and as long as they are able to churn out spiciest masala on their prime time, they are earning handsome.

My question to media is if they think Mahi does not know how to lead his side just after 2 losses, why did they labeled him Super Hero till the first round. Is he suffering from Ghazini effect of short-term memory loss that he has forgotten the art of captainship or Rohit Sharma has become the worst player because he could not click in just 2 games. Please, give Team India a little break. Losses do happen but give them some time to prove themselves and if still they fail to deliver, give them solid whipping but please give them some time at least to think over before giving them your blastings.

Shahrukh Khan now a B-school poster boy

One thing that makes Shahrukh Khan stand out from his other colleagues in Bollywood is the smart business moves he is always able to make and thus always able to maintain the niche that he has carefully been able to sustain over others for years. The latest news is that IIMP headed by renowned management guru Arindam Chaudhuri has roped in Shahrukh Khan in a three-year business contract to hold their annual business and marketing quiz and thus promising to make it the most prominent B-school quiz contest.

IIPM has been a success story that is hard to beat. They are now ranked amongst the top 10 B-school in India with one of the most successful placement records amongst Indian B-schools and even giving IIMs a run for their money, absolutely unaffected by recession, have been able to rope in King Khan that in itself is a great achievement as their Brand Ambassador.

I think its a great business move by both IIPM management and King Khan. IIPM thus proving their stronghold not only in corporate world but even in Bollywood which is now getting more corporate culture and for Shahrukh whose KKR did badly on the field and but scored heavily off the field thanks to be able to generate the maximum number of controversies and thus being always able to hit the headlines everyday during IPL season 2 to once again be in the thicks of the things in the corporate world.

Orange juice makes English sick

It was not van Persie versus Wayne Roonie. It was David versus Goliath and what followed thereafter...the Dutch will cherish forever.

Dutch have always been one of the most exciting sportsperson whenever they are on the ground, be it soccer or hockey...but hold your breath, this time they are on the cricket ground and this time they have stunned one of the exponents of the game of cricket, the mighty English team, by 4 wickets in the opening match of the ICC T20 world cup at the mecca of cricket, Lord's. The last over victory has put England in a precarious situation now that they must beat Pakistan to make it to Super 8. Dutch has more often than not proved their supremacy over England whenever they play soccer or hockey, but yesterday was the day, Dutch will cherish for a long time to come. In fact, the entire stadium went orange after that famous victory at Lord's which spoiled the Friday evening for the English fans. The Dutch victory has sounded an alarming bell in the Pakistani camp also where now they will have to regroup their strategies to deal with this new menace which have always troubled them in the game of hockey. The Dutch victory over England has once again proved the uniqueness of this format of the game where no team in the world can say it with elaan that they can beat a certain team whether a minnow or a mighty one.This stunner should also come as an eye-opener for Team India where the entire media is busy finding out the differences between Dhoni and Sehwag. I think its time now for Team India to remain a team and not a media grabber item.Congratulations to Dutch for their unforgettable victory in Lord's once again.

Search is on for missing Air France flight

As per the Brazilian Vice President Jose Alancar the search is being carried out for the missing Air France A330-200 with 228 people on board, but still no sign of the plane. Reportedly, the plane went missing in the thunderstorm mysteriously with no messages from the pilot but rather a series of error messages which suggested a big technical snag after the lightening might have struck the plane. A big discussion is now going on that how a modern aircraft with the most advanced features like lightening-proof system could not withstand the bad weather and went missing. A big search operation is carried out over the Ocean between Brazil and African coast but still no signs or trace of the plane.

As per the Brazilian officials, the plane disappeared over the Atlantic somewhere between a point 186 miles northeast of their coastal city Natal and the Cape Verde islands off Africa. The area is known as the “horse latitudes,” where the tropics of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres mix, sometimes creating violent and unpredictable thunderstorms that can rise to 55,000 feet, higher than commercial jetliners can go.

We hope for the best, though the hopes are fading very fast.

You ask any man about their most desirable woman, chances are very high that he will name one of the above and you ask what you want them to wear, and the answer will be...we want to see them in a sexy lingerie. In fact, this is one of the utmost fantasy of every men to see their favorite diva in a beautiful Victoria Secret lingerie or a designer swimsuit. A well-shaped woman always looks great in a 2-piece bikini. Going back to early 90s, when Pamela Anderson made more waves than the waves in the sea when she flaunted her curves so beautifully in Bay Watch that she became a household name even in non-English speaking countries. More recently, Halle Berry in a two-piece bikini in Die Another Day and Jessica Alba in Into the Blue. The list is endless of these most desirable women and when these women feature in a designer bikini or a sexy lingerie, I think they just become too hot to handle.

Manmohan Singh wins a second term

Finally, the election results are out. After months and months of coalition drama from the likes of left, Mulayam SinghYadav, Laloo Prasad Yadav, what a relief now... at least now we can hope for a better political scenario as Congress has bagged enough seats that now it can work on its own and will not have to rely on pressure politics. Lets hope that Manmohan Singh delivers this time by reviving the economy as well as terrorism policy. He is not under pressure from left at this time to implement his economic reforms and he should not be under pressure from Amar Singh (hopefully!!!) to fight against terrorism and he should not be under pressure from Laloo Yadav to give him Railway ministry. Well, lets hope we will be able to see a better tomorrow in a few days from now.

The biggest loser in this election according to me is Laloo Prasad Yadav whose party only managed to bag 4 seats, but his condition is now like "dhobi ka doggy na ghar ka na ghaat ka." Why I am saying this is because before election he snapped electoral ties with Congress in hopes of getting a large chunk of seats and be in even better position to bargain, but now with Nitish Kumar delivering a knock-out performance, Laloo Yadav might find his days numbered in the political circuit because he is no one in Bihar and now will become no one in Center too.

This might also be the end of the road for the Iron Man L K Advani also and we might see more youthful leaders taking centerstage which might come as a bleesing in disguise for them just like the Indian team who has been doing just too good with his youth brigade after the likes of Ganguli, Dravid, Kumble, Laxman, and Tendulkar (playing very little now) either retired or were kept out on purpose.

So lets all hope for a new shining India...

What to write on a blog

As a blogger, the most difficult task is to find out a new topic to write about. Well, here are my top 5 ways to get idea about a new topic for your blog:

1. Your most important provider of new topic is your own blog comments. You must check the comments posted on the blogs and see the questions posed by your readers and there are more than enough chance that a new idea will just click in your mind going through these comments.

2. Go back searching your most read blog post, give it a new twist or add a new angle and your loyal readers might be happy once again seeing their favorite blog post with a new twist. One can take the example of Ekta Kapoor's soap where every 3 months a new story unfolds in the same old cast and storyline and the viewer once again start watching the serial with a new interest.

3. Go through the social networking sites like Digg or Twitter and check out the new topics people blogging about and you might get the topic for your post for the day.

4. Ask reader to put comments and offer some give-away to the X reader. Chances are high that those reader will give you a new topic to write about.

5. Prepare a list like "Top 5 secrets of a successful love life" or the "Top 10 excuses for a sick leave," do some brainstorming, follow your office culture, prepare a list, and your new blog topic is ready. It is fun to read and easy to write.

Behind all the greasepaint, I'm just another faceless guy... grew up in Delhi where I learnt my art... and I have travelled and worked almost all over India... actually, I grew up on cricket. One of the earliest memories being that of a grinning Kapil Dev, running back to the pavilion after beating England in the 1983 world cup semifinals... I watched with horror when Miandad whacked Chetan Sharma for that last-ball six... and also overjoyed when Jadeja returned the favor 10 days...err...10 years later...Actually I was crackpot enough to skip my IIM interview in order to watch India play Australia at Feroze Shah Kotla... A match that by the way we lost...But somewhere along the faceless journey in life, I happened to get intimately exposed to cricket... From the kings of Bollywood to the pimps of cricket... and vice versa... from the cricketers with oversized egos to journos that are so happy being in such august company... they forget to dig deep enough... I've seen them all. Yes, I am an insider... Many of us living in a civilian society believe that oh...we are living in such a peaceful community that nothing will happen to us and thus we will never ever require someone like a lawyer or a legal service provider. Two of the biggest nightmares for every civilian is going to a police station or making rounds of a judiciary court. One must check the background of that legal firm like how long they have been in business, have they been associated with the Bar Council or other legal governing body, if they have got proper license or registration to carry out the legal service business, so that you are able to get the most suitable legal service provider for yourself.

Fake IPL Player or some smart journo

This Fake IPL Player seems like a very smart journo who just wants to come into limelight after the IPL season 2 gets over. Just went through the Get Shorty post from this now famous Fake IPL Player about his version of match-fixing rumors. One genuine point that he makes on the match-fixing thing is that why would somebody pay KKR to lose a match when they are already losing the matches on trot. That is very interesting to hear and sounds very convincing. You see, nobody remembers when was the last time KKR actually won a match. The only match they won this season was also due to Duckworth/Lewis (D/L) method, so that sounds very convincing as to why one should pay take even a single penny to lose a match.

I think now if and that is a big if KKR ever wins a match in IPL, Lalit Modi and IPL bosses must look into this if the match was fixed. Because I think if KKR wins a single match this IPL season, whoever would have bet on KKR will become an instant millionaire. The match-fixing rumor will once again come into limelight if KKR wins a match or Ganguli scores 50 runs of 20 balls or Ishant Sharma picks up 5 wickets in a match or Agarkar concedes only 10 runs in his 4 overs. If ever these things happen we should have enough reason to believe that the match was fixed.

The two names that I like the most from this Fake IPL Player post are Bhookha Naan and Appam Chutiya. I mean, just look at the word selection chosen, this is really awesome. Particularly, Appam Chutiya is like the word we all used for decades while completing our school and college years and still never knew that this word Chutiya can be such a successful marketing term that can soar one's Alexa ranking to 18,000. I think Philip Kotler must rewrite his Marketing Management book and add all these terms like Chutiya, dildo, slimeball, etc. and give use a new-age marketing funda.

India votes and decides its future

Finally, the D day came and election results are out. After months and months of coalition drama from the likes of left, Mulayam SinghYadav, Laloo Prasad Yadav, what a relief now... at least now we can hope for a better political scenario as Congress has bagged enough seats that now it can work on its own and will not have to rely on pressure politics. Lets hope that Manmohan Singh delivers this time by reviving the economy as well as terrorism policy. He is not under pressure from left at this time to implement his economic reforms and he should not be under pressure from Amar Singh (hopefully!!!) to fight against terrorism and he should not be under pressure from Laloo Yadav to give him Railway ministry. Well, lets hope we will be able to see a better tomorrow in a few days from now.

The biggest loser in this election according to me is Laloo Prasad Yadav whose party only managed to bag 4 seats, but his condition is now like "dhobi ka doggy na ghar ka na ghaat ka." Why I am saying this is because before election he snapped electoral ties with Congress in hopes of getting a large chunk of seats and be in even better position to bargain, but now with Nitish Kumar delivering a knock-out performance, Laloo Yadav might find his days numbered in the political circuit because he is no one in Bihar and now will become no one in Center too.

This might also be the end of the road for the Iron Man L K Advani also and we might see more youthful leaders taking centerstage which might come as a bleesing in disguise for them just like the Indian team who has been doing just too good with his youth brigade after the likes of Ganguli, Dravid, Kumble, Laxman, and Tendulkar (playing very little now) either retired or were kept out on purpose.

So lets all hope for a new shining India...

A lot is being read about the Fake IPL Player making rounds on the blog circuit. In fact, the entire Indian media is following this Fake IPL Player so closely that it has become the most trafficked blog in just a week. Yesterday, I was just seeing a news clip on NDTV India about the poll buzz about revealing this Fake IPL player identity and some 30,000 internet bloggers and readers have polled in just 1 day.

Everyone is curious to find out the real identity of this Fake IPL Player who has been reporting all the inside and outside news of Kolkata Knight Riders. If the player reveals his identity at the end of the IPL, then I think he becomes genunine from a fake IPL player, but if the player does not reveal his identity, then this might lead us to believe that this once again is a very smart marketing strategy employed by the very marketing savvy KKR owned by King Khan.

KKR loses again

Maintaining their losing spree, Kolkata lost again.

Well, one must feel sorry for the KKR to lose this game. Till the 36th over of the game they were so comfortably placed to win this game at least and then came a once in a life inning from Ross Taylor and KKR is shattered once again. Shahrukh's team dominated the proceeding from the first over to the 36th over aided by brilliant batting display by Brendon McCullum (finally!!! but too late to come) and David Hussey and then their bowler doing fairly decent job to bring themselves into a comfortable position where the asking rate went up to as high as 15 runs per over. Only a miracle would have saved Bangalore but then miracles do happen some time, and this time it happened from Ross Taylor's bat who hit 5 towering sixes to finish the match in style with 4 balls remaining. Dr. Vijay Mallya was one happy man with his team moving to 5th place leaving Zinta, Ambani, and Shahrukh behind and looking menacingly to outdo Shilpa soon to make a place in the semi-finals.

Anyhow, this match was a 100% entertainer where batsmen ruled the roost and bowlers just looked too rusty that is what T20 cricket is all about.

Good luck Royal Challengers, keep winning and bring back DLP IPL trophy to Namma Bangaluru this time and bring cheers to all the fellow Bangaloreans...
